Job Brief:

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated, process orientated individual to join our Legal and Compliance Team. The position will provide administrative support to the General Counsel, and operations support to the Legal and Compliance team. You will be required to communicate with business stakeholders at all levels of the company be key to ensuring consistency and synergies across the functional areas of the department This is a generalist role that will assist in creating processes and practices to improve the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the legal and compliance team and involves managing and supporting projects across the full range of subject matter supported by the L&C team. You must be able to think on your feet and make sound decisions in the face of ambiguity, be proactive in identifying areas of need and generating action plans and be able to adapt to evolving business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft and redline legal and business documents such as NDA's, Memorandums of Understanding and Procurement Agreements
  • Manage the Power of Attorney Process including Apostille, Legalization and Notarization
  • Provide support for company registrations, filings, governance and reps & certs paperwork
  • Under the direction of the General Counsel, manage intellectual property paperwork (e.g. tradename, trademarks) and legal invoicing
  • Develop, implement and manage department intranet, tools, templates, workflows and reporting
  • Oversee the communication of information to the department, implementation of new processes and procedures, to ensure synergies across functions
  • Support to the GC including office administration, department communications and meeting preparation, legal research and invoice management

  • None

Education & Experience:

  • A. or B.S., equivalent certification (e.g. paralegal, legal professional) or relevant experience required
  • 4+ years of professional work experience in legal, contracts management, compliance, or comparable field
  • Spanish language skills a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong aptitude for software and technology (e.g. MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, Teams, Zoom, etc.)
  • Prior experience developing templates, work tools, playbooks, processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to independently move projects forward by gaining support needed from others while working in a cross-functional role
  • Ability to thrive in a multifaceted environment and successfully manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to learn, refresh skills and keep abreast of subject matter related information and industry practices.
