Setting:  In office

Travel for the Position: Occasional in town travel to other facilities may be required.

About this position: 

LMCU is looking for a Human Resource Generalist who will be responsible for playing a key role in supporting the organization's HR functions. This position focuses on providing comprehensive HR support to employees and leaders, handling various HR tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and employment laws. The HR Generalist will also contribute to the overall success of the HR department by assisting with projects and in the implementation of HR initiatives.

What you’ll do: 

  • Facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, managing processes from the job offer stage through orientation and integration into the team.

  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Specialist with the full-cycle recruitment process. This includes crafting and posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews, processing pre-employment checks, and extending job offers.

  • Regularly review and update job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect current roles and responsibilities.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned; aid with various HR-related tasks and projects as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for unemployment and workers’ compensation claims, liaising effectively with credit union representatives, unemployment agencies, and insurance providers to manage and resolve claims.

  • Oversee the Tuition Reimbursement process, addressing employee inquiries and ensuring smooth administration of the program.

  • Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A minimum of three years of similar or related experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resource Management or a related field of study.

  • HRCI and/or SHRM certification preferred

  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, EEOC and other federal, state employment laws.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems; prior experience with Workday is preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
