WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK:

This position will require you to come into the Del Mar office as needed based on business demands. Tandem will provide equipment for you to work remotely when not in office.  

A DAY IN THE LIFE: 

The Global Labeling & Translations Manager serves as an expert in localizing regulated product labeling materials required in global markets and is responsible for the enterprise management of certified translations. This role partners with International Marketing, Product Management, Program Management, and Brand Operations to optimize the translations quality procedures and implement process improvements that reduce cost and timelines for content localization. As a member of the Regulatory Affairs function, this position collaborates closely with internal stakeholders from Marketing, Product, R&D, and IT, to use a single enterprise Translations Management System (TMS) and shared Translations Memory (TM) for all localization projects. This role is responsible for all translations and associated timelines, budget, and procedures for the business related to labeling requirements including approved global vendors, quality requirements, language glossaries, Certification of Translations (COT), and Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) submissions. Achievement of the primary objectives enable global scalability, improve process efficiency, and provides visibility for labeling and translations across the business.

The Global Labeling & Translations Manager at Tandem is also responsible for: 

  • Responsible for all certified translated materials, global product labeling requirements, and translations process management.
  • Communicates labeling and translations projects and priorities across the business and coordinates timelines with project managers.
  • Creates and manages KPIs for stakeholder visibility and awareness of critical product labeling and translations deliverables.
  • Plans, estimates, and manages translations services budget and product labeling timelines.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to understand impact of changing regulations and product requirements regarding labeling and translations.
  • Manages shared TM required across all projects, products, and vendors for consistent use of translations.
  • Creates and manages shared glossary of terms with approved translations that are specific to the Tandem business and diabetes industry.
  • Evaluates and implements features in the TMS for in-context visual editing and ICR of product user interface screens.
  • Evaluates vendor capabilities and identifies resources and software needed to meet business priorities and objectives in partnership with Global Marketing.
  • Leads or participates in cross-functional planning sessions for product labeling and translations.
  • Partners with Marketing for localized content management, production, and delivery across systems aligned with product roadmap & commercial launch.
  • Partners with technical writers, instructional designers, and user interface designers to discuss requirements for translated content early in the design process.
  • Collaborates across internal teams, external translators, and In-Country Reviewers (ICRs) to streamline translations processes and consolidate tools into a single source to manage progress, timeline, and budget in real-time.
  • Works with IT to onboard new users to the TMS, request integrations with other platforms, and evaluate/implement new features.
  • Identifies and establishes cross-functional resources required to meet business objectives.
  • Manages and submits the COT in the EDMS
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/H
