A Day in the Life

At Medtronic Diabetes, we are looking for a passionate, high-energy, strategic-minded digital product management individual who will accelerate the digital product and capabilities roadmap in support of the Global Diabetes operating unit strategy. In this role you will collaborate with Regional, Commercial, Customer Experience and Support, Downstream, R&D, Regulatory, Clinical, and other functional areas, to understand and define customer VOC, product and/or capability requirements, product specifications, and planning and program managing the product development.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for evaluating and designing, developing or modifying programs for internal functional areas including finance, human resources, and marketing.
  • Analyze existing programs and/or formulate logic for new systems.
  • Develop system design documentation (including GUI design, if required), perform coding, and test/debug programs.
  • Create ad hoc or bolt-on programs for integrations or functional business teams as needed.
  • Develop conversion and system implementation plans.
  • Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.
  • Recommend and perform changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
  • Provide technical support, guidance and mentoring to the team members on Project Delivery, Quality, Risk mitigation and handling escalations. Doing peer review of the code developed by other team members and to ensure that the quality code is checked-in.
  • Coordinate with other team members from different time zones to create, modify, test, deploy and execute code, form and script needed to run the developed middleware solutions.
  • Part of SDLC process for the Development component for the integration tools
  • Provide patch and software upgrades to existing systems as required.
  • Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation for program support.
