Job Description
The scope of Strategic Sourcing Manager is to hit annual savings targets along with building strong relationships with their internal business units and drive enterprise-wide sourcing, category management, contract negotiation and delivery of technology related spend categories. Provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance within the Proffesional Services categories; manage and execute appropriate sourcing processes and procedures. This role provides leadership and direction in support of the company’s contingent workforce, temp labor, consulting, professional services, legal, finance, HR, tax.
What you get to do in this role:
- Category Management and Contract Execution: Partner with internal (commercial and technical) stakeholders on clarifying short and long-term sourcing requirements whilst leading the development of supplier negotiation strategies. Own opportunity assessment and initiation through contract execution.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Commercial Lead across ServiceNow’s supplier profile. Craft unique supplier strategies that align to stakeholders’ requirements.
- RFx Management: Supplier interface for all RFI, RFP and RFQs. Conduct proper TCO Modeling of RFx proposals, present RFx results to stakeholders, and drive towards the closure of a sourcing decision.
- Competitive Benchmarking and Market Research: Stay up to date on all colocation market dynamics to ensure Category is properly managed. Guide stakeholders on changes in market dynamics.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure Sustainability data (carbon impact) is measured and gathered. Drive colocation suppliers towards improving Sustainability efforts.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- 5 years experience in supply chain related functions
- Conducts supplier analysis, evaluates potential suppliers, and support the overall supplier qualification process, develops and create sourcing plans and category strategies, requests for proposal, and other sourcing documents, evaluates and recommends purchasing and sourcing decision to management.
- Review spend analysis, assess and prioritize opportunities
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal results
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Actively seek out industry knowledge through research, trade shows, conferences and online training, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor
FD21
For positions in California (outside of the Bay Area), we offer a base pay of $96,200 - $168,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits.
