This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Job Summary
This position will be responsible for performing day-to-day tax compliance functions for U.S. and International tax components of H-D. The Senior Tax Analyst will maintain tax systems for the tax compliance and reporting process, assist in tax projects, partner with the H-D businesses on various transformation initiatives, and perform value-added activities within the H-D Corporate Tax Team.
As part of the compliance process, the Senior Tax Analyst will prepare/review state, federal, and international income tax returns, quarterly estimates, and annual extensions.
As part of the quarterly and annual tax reporting process, the Senior Tax Analyst will prepare US taxable income calculations, global tax provisions, non-US income tax return review, return-to-provision calculations, and foreign inclusion calculations involving international components. Also included in the role is analysis of various general ledger tax accounts and assistance with the budgeting/forecasting process, intercompany transaction testing, and transfer pricing analysis.
The Senior Tax Analyst will interact across all levels of the H-D organization and develop global tax capabilities using CorpTax software, VantagePoint Solutions, and other corporate financial systems such as SAP General Ledger, Microsoft Office applications, and other leading tax technology tools.
Job Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance: Prepare annual state, federal, and international income tax returns [Forms 5471].
- Tax Provision: Prepare US taxable income calculations, global tax provisions, balance sheet rollforward schedules, non-US income tax return review, return-to-provision calculations, tax footnote preparation, and income inclusion calculations.
- Analysis of tax accounts and assistance with the budgeting/forecasting process, intercompany pricing, and transfer pricing.
- Perform tax research, support income tax audits, and maintain tax systems and workpapers.
- Support any tax functional needs determined by Tax Management.
- Find ways to continuously improve processes, procedures, and responsibilities related to the Senior Tax Analyst role.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree RequiredEducation Specifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, such as Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Advanced degree in Taxation [Master of Science in Taxation (MST)], or Law Degree is a plus.
Experience Requirements
Required
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience is required for this position.
- Strong business, communication, organization, and analytical skills are required.
- Ability to collect, evaluate, and organize multiple sources of data from various sources and use tax technology tools to prepare corporate income tax returns, tax provisions, and related tax workpapers.
- Ability to organize information and tax workpapers to effectively communicate conclusions through appropriate use of spreadsheets, presentations, memos, and tax technology reports.
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task [efficiently manage multiple priorities and handle medium-to-complex projects] in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy, using prior experience to solve complex technical issues and help to further develop tax expertise.
- A self-starter who is execution and precision-focused and effectively navigates in a large organization and coordinates with multiple stakeholders in order to drive projects and assigned work to completion with limited supervision
