About the role

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Operator to work on our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating paving machines and related equipment to lay asphalt for roads, parking lots, and other surfaces. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate asphalt paving machines and other heavy objects
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper depth, alignment, and smoothness of asphalt
  • Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality
  • Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed
  • Work closely with the paving crew to coordinate material flow and maintain consistent paving operations
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects
  • Assist with other tasks as needed to support paving operations

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience operating asphalt paving equipment preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
