Rapid Intervention & Felony DV Coordinator

Job Type Full-time Description

The FDV Court Advocate and RIT Coordinator Lead and coordinate the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) and provide support, safety planning, information, resources, and referrals to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors with a case accepted by RIT. As needed, provide technical assistance and advocacy for clients filing Emergency Protective Orders, attending Protective Order full hearings, and participating in criminal prosecutions. Provide technical assistance and advocacy for clients in FDV Court. Provide technical assistance, advocacy, and moral support to clients, including follow-up.

The Rapid Intervention Team & Felony Domestic Violence Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring swift, trauma-informed and coordinated responses for survivors of high risk and felony-level domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and/or human trafficking. This position serves as the central liaison between law enforcement, prosecutors, victim advocates, support staff, and community partners to streamline communication and improve safety outcomes for survivors. 

The Rapid Intervention Team & Felony Domestic Violence Coordinator reviews daily felony domestic violence reports, conducts lethality and risk assessments, and identifies cases needing immediate intervention. This role facilitates rapid response activities; including safety planning, emergency resource coordination, and multi-disciplinary case staffing to reduce harm and enhance continuity of care. The Rapid Intervention Team & Domestic Violence Coordinator also supports survivors navigating the criminal legal process by providing education, updates, and handoffs to long term advocacy services. 

Requirements

  

Education: A bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent combinations of relevant education and substantial professional experience will be considered. Significant hands-on experience working with survivors of a crime, domestic violence, or related victim services roles may substitute for formal education.

Experience: Requires a minimum of three years of experience working with victims of crime and/or domestic violence are strongly preferred, or any equivalent combination of experience, lived experience, and/or special skills.  Experience working in the criminal justice system, with law enforcement, and prosecution is preferred. 

Bilingual in Spanish preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

Proven computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, are necessary. 

Knowledge of or experience working with social justice issues, specifically intimate partner and gender-based domestic and sexual violence, stalking, human trafficking and racial, class, gender, sexual orientation issues, and intervention/prevention services strongly preferred. Requires dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion, excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work and tasks. This is a dynamic and fast paced role requiring strong critical thinking skills, sound judgement, and the ability to build trust across systems. The ideal candidate demonstrates deep understanding of trauma, cultural humility and the complexities surrounding domestic violence, especially in high-risk cases.

Schedule Availability: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.  Occasionally extended workdays.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Oklahoma driver’s license; current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.  OVAA, CDSVRP, or other related certifications desired
