The Opportunity 

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate activities within our whey warehouse operations. This role involves managing the processing of packaged materials and manufacturing customer-specific products, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards. This permanent position will report to the Whey Plant Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following; 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Operational Planning: Review production orders and schedules to determine product data, including types, quantities, and specifications, and plan department operations accordingly.
• Warehouse Leadership: Establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products and inventory, preparing operational schedules to ensure production and quality standards are met.
• Problem Solving: Review production and operating reports, resolving operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize costs and prevent delays.
• Equipment Inspection: Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and utilization.
• Standard Practices: Develop and revise standard operational practices, ensuring compliance through observation and guidance of workers.
• Data Management: Compile, store, and retrieve warehouse data efficiently.
• Safety and Compliance: Uphold occupational safety and health standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and mandates.
• Team Development: Ensure adherence to operator development programs, including performance development plans, one-on-one meetings, and stay interviews.

 

The skills you will bring:

 

• Requires a Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in computer skills, including email, record keeping, and database management.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies like TPM.

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
