Your journey to impactful work and rapid growth starts now—be extraordinary at MANTECH!MANTECH is seeking an O&M/Kubernetes Engineer to join a six-person team responsible for the entire lifecycle of a mission-critical MuleSoft Private Cloud Edition (PCE) solution supporting a key Intelligence Community (IC) customer. This position is located in Chantilly, VA
As the Kubernetes subject matter expert, you will be responsible for the stability, performance, and maintenance of the underlying containerized infrastructure that hosts the MuleSoft platform. Your primary focus will be on platform operations, proactive monitoring, incident response, and ensuring the solution remains stable and available for the IC customer.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Deploy and manage the MuleSoft environment, including the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of runtimes, load balancers, and VPC components.
Perform all routine maintenance activities, including platform patching, upgrades (for both Kubernetes and MuleSoft PCE), and certificate management.
Conduct proactive monitoring of platform health, performance, and API traffic, utilizing tools to observe the Kubernetes cluster, nodes, and MuleSoft runtimes.
Act as the primary point of contact for Kubernetes-level issues, providing on-call Tier 2-3 support for incidents and services requests, as needed.
Maintain the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and actively participate in disaster recovery exercises, as needed.
Partner with the Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer to support all Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities to achieve and maintain the platform's ATD and ATO.
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation for platform configurations.
Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years of hands-on experience managing, monitoring, and maintaining production-level Kubernetes clusters in support of an IC customer
6+ years of experience in a customer facing role supporting an IC customer
Experience with DevSecOps methodologies and CI/CD tools
Strong background in ITIL-based Operations & Maintenance, including incident, change, and problem management
Experience with monitoring tools for platform, application, and API health
Experience with patching, system upgrades, certificate m
