Senior Accountant

<p>About the role </p><p></p><p>The primary function of the Senior Accountant is to perform general accounting/bookkeeping activities, including preparing and supporting the monthly and year-end closing process for Gartner Subsidiaries in Iberia and LATAM. The Senior Accountant will also prepare and support Statutory Financials and assist Audit process, as well as assist the Finance Manager in developing and managing compliance and controls within ocal and global corporate requirements.  <br/> <br/>What you’ll do</p><ul><li><p>Prepare monthly / quarterly/year-end closing</p></li><li><p>Perform accounting activities and ensure accuracy and compliance</p></li><li><p>Manage GL accounting, execute and record transactions and maintain necessary supporting documentation</p></li><li><p>Prepare monthly account reconciliations to the general ledger</p></li><li><p>Prepare and control Intercompany Transactions</p></li><li><p>Prepare and File VAT declarations and other statutory reports</p></li><li><p>Prepare Annual Financial Statements for review by auditors</p></li><li><p>Assist Tax Team by preparing Annual Tax information for review</p></li><li><p>Assist with the preparation of the Statutory Financials audit process</p></li><li><p>Assist with any other Audit as required</p></li><li><p>Assist with establishing internal controls and monitoring compliance with Global Policies</p></li><li><p>Execute and support special projects and other responsibilities as assigned</p></li></ul><p></p><p>What you’ll need</p><ul><li><p>3-5 years of experience within an accounting function of a global multinational organization</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of Local Accounting Standards (e.g. Spanish GAAP), good understanding of US GAAP, and knowledge of Local VAT and Indirect Tax Rules</p></li><li><p>Good working knowledge of intermediate to Advanced Excel</p></li><li><p>Good hands-on reporting-systems knowledge. Oracle Financials and Hyperion experience would be considered as a plus</p></li><li><p>Good hands-on reporting-systems knowledge.
