JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Eberly College of Science Biology Department at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking qualified candidates for an Administrative Assistant – Intermediate Support position to support the undergraduate education team and Associate Head of Undergraduate Education.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- assisting with scheduling meetings and enrolling / acting as timekeeper for students in some courses for the teaching faculty
- supporting coordination and collection of peer evaluation forms, assessment survey data, research credits, and SEEQ data for P & T reviews
- support for advising staff with New Student Orientation (NSO) and other duties over summer.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Strong investigative skills with the ability to use creative thinking to improve existing and develop new duties and business processes.
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Positive, professional, and efficient work style.
- Initiative, collegiality, accuracy and promote a culture that is conducive to effective relationships among diverse team members.
Education and Experience:
This position requires a High School Diploma or higher plus 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Lionpath will be given extra consideration.
