Your role: Our procurement team is transforming to enable our Electronics division to advance science and technology with customers. As Head of Procurement Electronics, you will shape and drive strategic procurement initiatives that significantly impact our innovative product lines and sustainability goals. You will lead a dynamic team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, while playing a key role in our mission to make a positive difference in the world of electronics. In this role, you lead a +€1.400 million category of spend for direct materials in the Semiconductor, Display, and Surface Business Units. You build solid relationships with Electronics stakeholders to understand their business strategies, needs, and nurture key partnerships, enabling a holistic procurement approach. You nurture and strengthen relationships with key strategic partners to build a competitive advantage for Merck and ensure access to innovation. You provide a holistic procurement approach for the Electronics Business Sector and develop sound commercial strategies aligned across the organization.

 

Who you are:

Minimum qualifications:

• You completed a Bachelors degree
• You have relevant background and experience for some of the areas of spend under your scope
• You have experience leading an organization through transformation/change 
• You are a senior leader within Procurement, Sales or Business roles
• You are an experienced people leader and able to demonstrate passion for developing future procurement leaders
• You have strong analytical and quantitative modelling skills including the ability to structure, collect, analyse, and communicate insights based on data in an organized manner
• You are fluent in English

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• You preferably have a background in the electronics industry

• You have a proven track record of building effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and are regarded as a trusted business partner
• You demonstrated the ability to successfully navigate and operate in highly matrixed environment while achieving common objectives
