Assistant Specialist, Strategic Sourcing

What this job involves:

Provide support for a Project & Development Services (PDS)/Construction client and internal stakeholders related to optimization of JLL managed construction sourcing operations and strategic procurement initiatives.  Responsible for delivering supplier and operational improvements while supporting the execution of strategic sourcing initiatives. 

 

  • Assist Sourcing Specialist by providing support, instruction and follow-up to project teams on RFP/bid processes, contractor selection, contracting and project procurement procedures. Be proactive and manage internal and external customer expectations.

  • Assist with tracking Sourcing Requests for contract extensions, renewals and new construction projects including general contractors, trade contractors and specialized construction vendors.

  • Act as a liaison between Shared Services, Corporate Legal and Risk Management to ensure all contractual terms and conditions comply with standard or other contract changes and are formally reviewed and approved by legal/risk management.

  • Assist PDS Sourcing team with work priorities, complete deliverables timely and resolve issues with Project Management teams, temporary help and/or project-specific dedicated resources to assure client satisfaction and successful project delivery.

  • Provide analysis and compliance reporting to Sourcing Lead, identifying risks and actions as appropriate compliance gaps between procurement and project management platforms.

  • Assist with Vendor Business Reviews coordination and participation

  • Complete system audits to ensure Sourcing KPI reporting is accurate.

  • Ensures pricing and rates align with construction service agreements and are updated in accordance with contractual increases, change orders and scope modifications.

  • Assist with drafting Letters of Engagement, Change Orders, etc.

  • Own supplier onboarding coordination

  • Maintain supplier profiles and their compliance

 

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

  • 2-5 years strategic sourcing experience

  • Excellent Inter-personal skills, Organization skills, Strong Analytical Ability, Proven ability to work independently while supporting teams in decentralized environment.

  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written.

  • Ability to multitask successfully

  • Practices extreme ownership

  • Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish

  • Travel required- estimated 20%

 

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university preferred.

  • Project management.

  • Construction, engineering or project delivery environments

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

67,000.00 – 97,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
