Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Sales Assistant includes but is not limited to maintaining/generating various daily/weekly/monthly sales & marketing reports, assisting sales team wherever workload demands, organizing customer visits, maintaining/ordering office supplies, and answering incoming phone calls for the sales department. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office
2. 2-year degree in Business, Accounting, or related study, or equivalent work experience
3. Able to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Customer Service Experience
2. Flat Rolled Steel knowledge
3. Four-year Bachelors degree (Business, Accounting, or related study)
4. Experience with MIPS
