World Relief seeks an Administrative Support Associate. This position will be a part of the Initial Resettlement team that provides services to newly arrived refugees. Primary responsibilities of this role covers administrative tasks and responsibilities assigned by Initial Resettlement staff. This role may include helping with client appointments, as needed.
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until 12/31/2024 and contingent upon funding extension.

Primary responsibilities of this role covers administrative tasks and responsibilities assigned by Initial Resettlement staff. This role may include helping with client appointments, as needed.

Role & Responsibilities
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Copying, scanning and uploading client documents to the organization’s secure Microsoft Dynamics database.
- Sorting paper files to be uploaded or shredded
- Reviewing client files and notes to ensure accuracy as well as grant compliance
- Conducting internal audit of client electronic files
- Updating internal tracking systems for tasks
- Creating and copying case notes in Microsoft Dynamics database
- Delivering documents and other paperwork to clients in Aurora area
- Requesting financial support such as rental and cash assistance
- Completing online applications on behalf of clients such as AR-11s or Social Security card applications
- Developing paperwork for client tasks
- Opening and processing mail from the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS)
- Contacting clients via phone about follow up needed with IDHS
- Scheduling appointments for clients such as state ID applications, Social Security applications, or medical appointments
- Set up utility accounts such as Nicor or ComEd
- As needed, pick up clients from their homes and transport them to meetings, appointments, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by the Initial Resettlement Manager

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Takes initiative and team player
- Proficient in basic Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar database preferred
- Experience working with diverse populations is strongly preferred

- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Highly organized and a self-starter able to take ownership of projects
- Detail oriented, organized, administratively gifted
- Reliable and punctual
- A valid Illinois Driver’s License
- 1 year of driving experience in the US
- Good driving record
- Access to own transportation to commute to work in Aurora
- Willingness to drive clients to appointments if needed
