JOB SUMMARY:  

Event staff are responsible for overseeing our guest's safety, creating a positive environment, and completing miscellaneous maintenance tasks during our event season ride sessions. They will enforce campus rules, attend to safety concerns, and report injuries during their shifts. Additionally, Event Staff may be called in to assist with onsite tasks as assigned.

• Camp Counselor Exemption – 85% Per California Exemption Wage Order 5

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:  

• Preferred experience in leadership 

• Preferred 1+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens.  

• Experience working in a camp environment is preferred.  

• Some college preferred  

• Health and Safety Certifications   

• Ability to project manage and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time.  

• Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.  

• Is creative. Can conceptualize ideas. Can think "outside the box". Can implement ideas.  

• Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team.  

BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:  

• FBI and DOJ fingerprint screening required.  

• CPR Certification 

• Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.  

• Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.  

• Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines  

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings during the months of September-May:   

• On-site work attendance at Woodward West   

• Open Ride Sessions as Assigned 

• Woodward Events as Assigned 

• Other Cleaning days as Assigned
