World Relief Texas is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Finance to oversee and control all financial transactions, financial reporting and budget execution to ensure financial stability of the office and to create accountability to the Home Office. Participates in organizational planning and creates interdepartmental efficiencies and helps develop synergies between program and finance within the field offices.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Embody the organizational mission, vision and values as a leader and an example for staff, volunteers, clients and the community
• Oversee finance department and directly supervise finance managers across the Texas Region including our offices in Fort Worth, Dallas and Austin.   
• Work with the Regional Directors and Program Directors regarding overall development and implementation of general office and department budgets
• Determine, with the Regional Directors, the overall financial needs of each office and prepare a general office annual budget to meet those needs
• Update Budget tracking spreadsheet monthly and work with Program Managers and Regional Directors to adjust as necessary
• Meet monthly with all program managers to ensure program budgets are staying within budget
• Oversee and implement all procedures for spending, revenue accounting and support documentation for proper accountability
• Manage Insurance Coordination (property, liability and vehicle) with HO.
• Along with the Regional Directors, approve all budgets and expenses in conjunction with grant and internal requirements
• Manage the financial reporting process for all state, local and private grants and interact with HO finance on US Federal Program reporting
• Serve as primary liaison for Nicaragua staff accountant
• Oversee accounts payable, including coding and approval of invoices, expense reports, and check requests
• Manage accounts receivable, including coding and allocation of donation, fee, and grant income
• Maintain files for all grants, including copies of approved budgets and amendments, grant reports, and general ledger
• Oversee use of office credit cards
• Provide grant management budget support
• Analyze financial information from World Relief Corporate Headquarters and prepare financial reports, internally as well as for granters
• Propose budget amendments and seek approval of granters
• Support the Regional Executive Director and fundraising staff through monitoring donations and providing reports as needed
• Act as primary contact and liaison with Home Office accountants, local financial institutions and all official business relationships between WR and local entities
