TECDP is a two-year immersive experience designed to build deep technical expertise and a holistic understanding of how technology fuels transformation across the healthcare ecosystem. Associates join a technical track aligned to their interests and career goals, gaining hands-on experience, expanding their technical acumen, and collaborating across disciplines to solve real-world challenges in healthcare.

The Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering Track

Join the team that keeps The Cigna Group’s technology running smoothly and securely. Infrastructure & Cloud Engineers architect and maintain scalable, resilient systems across on-prem and cloud environments. You’ll work with the latest in automation, containerization, and hybrid cloud to support customers and providers.

What you’ll do:

  • Meaningful Role Work: Work within the Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering track, contributing to the design, deployment, and support of secure, scalable technology environments. You’ll gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms, automation tools, and enterprise infrastructure—helping power the systems that enable healthcare innovation across The Cigna Group.

Qualifications

We’re seeking well-rounded, detail-oriented technologists with a passion for Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering—and a desire to build secure, scalable environments that support healthcare innovation. Ideal candidates are hands-on problem solvers who thrive in dynamic environments and are excited to work with modern platforms and automation tools.  This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or those early in their careers who are excited to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting. This role is designed to support your transition from academia to industry.

Ideal qualifications include:

  • Education: Full time candidates must have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical program at the time of hire.  Preferred degrees include Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network and Systems Engineering 
  • Technological Proficiencies:
    • Cloud Engineering: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security and performance monitoring.
    • Infrastructure: Exposure to include system administration (Windows), virtualization, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and tools for monitoring, configuration management, and network troubleshooting.
  • Courses & Experiences: Academic projects, research, or internships that demonstrate hands-on experience with infrastructure, cloud architecture, or systems engineering.
  • Well Rounded: Leadership or involvement in student organizations, technical clubs, or competitions related to cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure design.
