As a Staff Network Security Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our technology. You'll work closely with a talented team to ensure the stability, resilience, and security of our network environment, allowing fans to connect with their favorite teams and athletes effortlessly.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, configure, and automate network security solutions, aligning with our "amplify pride and create connections" mission.
  • Assess existing designs and configurations, developing plans for improvement and standardization.
  • Provide technical guidance and collaborate with team members and business partners on secure solutions.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) principles to automate network provisioning and configuration tasks.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate network automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Implement and manage zero trust network security solutions.
  • Manage PKI certificates, encryption technologies, and network documentation.
  • Maintain a balanced focus on network and security operations, utilizing monitoring tools for proactive troubleshooting.
  • Analyze trends and recommend improvements to circuits and hardware for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to proactively identify and resolve network-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in network security strategy and operations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in various technologies including Cisco products, Palo Alto firewalls, wireless technologies, Microsoft and Linux systems, automation tools, VPNs, and SIEM solutions.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, change management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to operate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Deep empathy for customer experience and a collaborative mindset.
  • Clear vision for improvement, ability to execute with urgency, and a high level of curiosity toward technology.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages (Python, Ansible) and automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and practices (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Understanding of version control systems (Git).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their networking services.
