JOB SUMMARY: Assist the Principal, Program Coordinators, Teachers, Staff and Options homeschool program with student management, behavior, attendance, guidance, academic advising, college/career planning, social emotional support, coordination of resources, and supporting the whole child.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. 1.

Work with a diverse range of students and staff daily to ensure individual success.

2.

Supervise and monitor student behavior and attendance to maintain an academic environment conducive to learning, including effective discipline, student mentorship, and restorative practices. Support and promote student achievement and growth through student conferences, interventions, and school-based support systems. Daily 20%

3.

Perform in all areas of services including, but not limited to: guidance services, registration process, scheduling, testing/assessments, student academic advisement and orientation programs for students, parents and staff.

4.

Positively impact achievement and differentiate services based on the needs of the students by supporting programs designed to increase student achievement.

5.

Provide leadership, input, and guidance to the program’s mission, vision, collective commitments, and goals.

6.

Participate collaboratively with teaching teams to help design curriculum and assessments and pursue best teaching practice.

7.

Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.

8.

Develop positive working relationships with all constituents (e.g. parents, caregivers, teachers, students, administrators, outside agencies).

Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.

  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five (5) years of certified teaching experience working with K-12 students 
  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Teaching license in any content area
