Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Labor Pool dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Hospitalist team.
In this role, you will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to hospitalized adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct inpatient care in collaboration with Hospitalist physicians.
- Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Perform procedures as credentialed and trained (e.g., central lines, intubation, etc.).
- Participate in daily rounds, care coordination, and discharge planning.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current board certification as an NP or PA.
- Licensure:
- Active and unrestricted license to practice as an NP or PA in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Virginia.
- Experience:
- Prior inpatient or hospitalist experience preferred but not required.
- New graduates with strong clinical rotations in acute care are encouraged to apply.
- Skills:
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
