Role Summary:

The Commercial Loan Processor’s primary responsibility is to prepare various types of new and renewed commercial, loan documentation. To ensure lien perfection on all collateral, complete loan booking, maintenance, and process loan disbursements.

 

What You Will Be Doing:


Document various types of loans utilizing the LaserPro software system, including commercial, SBA loans and construction loans
Work collaboratively and as a team member with the production assistants and loan officers to facilitate smooth and timely processing of all loan requests
Completes booking and disbursing loans, posting fees to the correct general ledgers for remittance of fees and charges
Perfect collateral accurately and timely to ensure credit unions lien position based on instruction outlined in request for loan documents
Accurately upload loans in the Commercial Loan Servicing System (DNA) using the LaserPro interface
Prepare wires in accordance with company standards and guidelines
Review for accuracy of fellow commercial loan processors' work, identifying any deficiencies or errors needing correction
Work as a team member of the Commercial Services team to assure the highest and most professional level of service to Credit Union members, both internal and external
Display leadership values such as mutual respect, trust and dignity, and act in the best interest of the Credit Union. Lead by example by always displaying solid ethics and integrity
Maintain a high level of confidentiality relative to member’s information
Must possess the ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing
Continuously keep supervisor informed of member and work concerns, as well as assignment status through reporting or meetings
Attend credit union training or seminars as approved by supervisor. Maintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities. Including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities
Comply with all credit union policies and procedures regarding areas of assignment and responsibility


 

About You:


Thorough knowledge of credit services and other credit union services
Thorough knowledge of lending policies and procedures
Proficient computer skills with collaboration and productivity tools including Windows-based operating systems and office suites (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); spreadsheet applications to organize data used for advanced data analysis; internet; email; and bank software.
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to converse with business owners
Ability to organize, prioritize and respond simultaneously to multiple tasks and requests
Ability to work well in and contribute to a cohesive team environment
Effectively communicate ideas and information, both verbal and written
Display and maintain courtesy, tact and diplomacy with current and potential vendors, peers and staff

QualificationsWhat You Will Need:


High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum two (2) to four (4) years clerical/data entry experience and computer proficiency required, one (1) to two (2) years’ experience working with Laser Pro documentation system preferred
Working knowledge of general real estate terminology
Professional conduct which includes a neat and corporate appearance, including punctual and excellent attendance
Knowledge of NCUA and State of Washington compliance and regulatory environment for Member Business Lending
