About the team and the role:

Caramel, an eBay company, is a fast-growing auto tech business redefining how cars are bought and sold for independent dealers and private party transactions. Founded in 2021, Caramel brings together financing and insurance partners, transaction workflows, paperwork, title and registration, lending, and operational support to help dealers complete vehicle sales more efficiently, safely, and confidently across the U.S.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own key areas of the Caramel Dealer platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building and can turn ambiguous dealer and business challenges into clear product requirements, thoughtful workflow design, strong execution plans, and measurable outcomes. This person will work closely with the details of dealer workflows, financing applications, paperwork, title processes, transaction completion, operational handoffs, and the data that shows where users experience friction.

This role reports to the Head of Product, Caramel and partners closely with Engineering, Design, Dealer Services, Dealer Account Executives, Operations, Strategy, and Business teams. Caramel offers a lean, fast-paced, startup-style environment backed by the scale and resources of eBay. This is U.S.-based remote role with occasional travel for team events, product workshops, and industry conferences.

What you will accomplish:

  • Own product direction and execution for key areas of the Caramel Dealer platform, leading work from discovery through launch, measurement, and iteration.

  • Improve dealer workflows across financing applications, paperwork, title, resubmissions, operational handoffs, and transaction completion to build a more seamless and scalable experience.

  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to increase dealer adoption, retention, transaction completion, and operational efficiency using product, funnel, and operational insights.

  • Translate dealer pain points, business priorities, and operational challenges into clear product plans, scalable requirements, and practical delivery roadmaps.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Dealer Services, Operations, and Business teams to deliver high-quality product experiences and strengthen platform connectivity.

  • Communicate product direction, tradeoffs, risks, and outcomes clearly to cross-functional partners and senior leaders while helping shape a more connected dealer experience across Caramel.

What you will bring:

  • 7+ years of product management experience building software products, including direct ownership of customer-facing, seller-facing, or workflow-heavy experiences.

  • Experience leading product areas end to end, from discovery and prioritization through launch, measurement, and continuous improvement.

  • Strong product judgment and the ability to balance user needs, business impact, technical complexity, and team capacity when making prioritization decisions.

  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering on APIs, integrations, data flows, system dependencies, and delivery tradeoffs.

  • Strong analytical skills, including defining success metrics, analyzing funnels, diagnosing friction points, and using data to improve product outcomes.

  • Experience working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with distributed teams; this role is U.S.-based remote and includes occasional travel.
