Senior Director, Data & AI Solution Architect – AI Data Platform

The Customer Excellence Advisory Lead (CEAL) Platform team is seeking a Senior Director, Data & AI Solution Architect to lead the development and delivery of customer-centric solutions powered by the AI Data Platform (AIDP).

This Leadership role is ideal for a hands-on, visionary technical leader with deep expertise in modern data architecture, Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and OCI Generative AI Services.

Unlike traditional product development roles, CEAL focuses on helping customers translate their business goals and use cases into high-impact AI-driven solutions. You will review customer use cases, align with key success metrics, and provide optimized architectures and implementation guidance to accelerate adoption of Oracle’s AI Data Platform. You will also work closely with Product Management and Development teams to act as a customer advocate, ensuring field insights influence roadmap evolution and product experience.

In this role, you will lead a team of solution architects, represent Oracle in internal and external executive briefings, and train customers and partners on best practices in deploying Oracle’s AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of solution architects to scale AIDP adoption across key customer segments.
• Partner with strategic customers to evaluate AI and data-related use cases and translate them into scalable solution architectures.
• Guide design decisions, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical solution reviews that align with customer KPIs and success metrics.
• Build and validate RAG pipelines, vector search implementations, and AI-native workflows using state-of-the-art GenAI components.
• Develop agentic AI solutions with tools like LangChain, CrewAI, or Semantic Kernel to drive autonomous decisioning and orchestration.
• Deliver hands-on prototypes and assets leveraging OCI Generative AI Services, Python microservices, and REST APIs.
• Create reusable patterns, accelerators, and best practices that enable faster time-to-value across AI Data Platform use cases.
• Deliver internal and external executive presentations and solution briefings.
• Conduct training and enablement sessions for customers and partners on best practices in implementing Oracle’s AI solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to represent customer priorities and feedback.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers and a technical thought leader across the CEAL Platform team.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, AI solution architecture, data science, or enterprise solution delivery roles.
• Deep technical hands-on expertise in:
  • LLMs and Generative AI workflows
  • Agentic frameworks and orchestration systems
  • RAG pipelines and vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)
• Prompt engineering, embedding models, and semantic search
• Proficient in Python and experienced in building REST APIs and microservices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise solution design engagements based on customer use cases and outcome-based delivery.
• Experience leading technical teams and presenting to executive stakeholders.
• Familiarity with OCI Generative AI Services and Oracle’s broader AI and data platform ecosystem

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in customer-facing roles (e.g., customer engineering, field architecture, solutions advisory).
• Involvement in open-source AI projects, publications, or industry thought leadership is a strong plus

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $141,200 to $338,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
