POSITION SUMMARY
Sony Corporation of America (“SCA”) is seeking a Service Management and IT intern to support operational stability across functional groups in Infrastructure and Application teams. This position is expected to be a support to Sony teams responsible for measuring, monitoring, and improving delivery services. This role will focus on the planning, development, and delivery of industry best practice operational processes and services based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITILV4) framework with emphasis on meeting customer expectation, driving service. It will also include process improvement of Infrastructure and Application support through enhanced service operations utilizing Remedy Helix ITSM tool. Cloud Infrastructure knowledge is also desirable including but not limited to ITaaS, moving from legacy infrastructure to cloud, orchestration etc. Work on key initiatives to modernize and automate where possible.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Management & support of ITIL V4 processes
Project/Program Management support
Prepare for and participate in formal project reviews with SONY Teams. Ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of project deliverables. Prepare and participate in weekly and monthly review meetings, Project reviews of key/high risk projects and post implementation reviews.
Review and monitor performance, Service Level Agreements, recommend corrective actions and facilitate the development of improvement plans.
Conduct exploratory activities to determine how to raise performance levels and recommend changes in Service Level Requirements where appropriate to ensure that they properly reflect business needs, while balancing costs.
Collaborate with ADM (Application Development and Maintenance), BRM (Business Relationship Management), Infrastructure Services teams to ensure Development and Maintenance services are delivered up to expectations.
Prepare and participate in weekly and monthly project review meetings, and post implementation reviews.
Participate in activities related to Change Management, Major Incident Response and other key processes
Work with multiple vendors and regional teams in support of Sony operations
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
Student in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Experience in Service Management using ITSM tools such as Remedy and IT related functions such as Cloud and Application development, Security, Infrastructure software development or support.
Experience in data analysis and reporting utilizing Business Intelligence software and vendor software is a plus.
Experience with SQL Queries a plus

The target hourly rate for this internship is $19.00 per hour. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime.
