Lead Transporter

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport patients safely to the appropriate department, ensuring their well-being and using the correct equipment.
• Understand the patient’s medical condition to ensure safe transport.
• Operate equipment smoothly, minimizing disturbance to the patient, and maintain equipment in proper working condition.
• Follow safety protocols by using personal protective equipment as required.
• Report any faulty equipment to the supervisor and ensure it's removed from service.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with a clean, pressed uniform and interact respectfully with patients, the public, and staff.
• Complete tasks efficiently and accurately without needing reminders.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information during transport.
• Attend required safety training and be knowledgeable about general and job-specific safety procedures.
• Ensure positive customer relations by responding promptly, managing difficult situations, and seeking feedback to improve services.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls professionally and ensure smooth communication with other departments.
• Dispatch transport assignments efficiently to meet daily goals.
• Maintain professionalism in all communications with staff, departments, and external partners.
• Resolve operational challenges, taking the initiative to minimize disruptions.
• Oversee second-shift transport staff, ensuring tasks are completed according to policy.
• Support staff as needed and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Conduct regular equipment checks and report any issues.
