Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager/Environmental Planner specializing in leading National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance processes for immediate employment within Colorado. The successful applicant will join a network of existing AECOM specialists across the US and will have the staff resources from across the western US extending from the Gulf of Mexico to Canada available to assist in project delivery.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provides project management and technical leadership on environmental planning and compliance projects, including those for compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
• Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
• Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business resulting from client satisfaction.
• Consistently delivers profit margins planned.
• Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
• Manages more complex clients and projects.
• Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
• Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to project risks.
• May supervise and mentor team members with multiple projects or programs assignments.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Biology, Environmental Planning, Natural/Biological Resource Management or other related field experience.
• 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in relevant field
• 10 years of work experience in related field, environmental permitting, NEPA compliance, natural resources management, and/or cultural resources management consulting industry.
• Strong, current and recent experience with federal agencies, state agencies, tribes, and local entities.
• Demonstrated leadership in proposal development and successful pursuit of competitive bids.
• Experience with environmental permitting, NEPA, relevant environmental regulations and processes, and the associated public engagement processes
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex interdisciplinary environmental planning projects, including client interaction, schedule and budget controls, an
