Senior Associate, Tax

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Peloton Tax Team is looking for a skilled tax professional to join our in-house team! As a member of the Tax Team, you will help ensure timely compliance, mitigate tax risks, and maximize tax opportunities using your tax technical knowledge. This particular Senior Associate role will focus on supporting US indirect tax compliance and planning. Responsibilities will include collecting relevant data, preparing indirect state and local filings, and working closely with our external tax technical providers. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in US indirect tax compliance (i.e., sales and use) and experience with tax research and writing.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

• Responsible for supporting timely and accurate filings for US sales and use tax compliance
• Support the day-to-day responsibilities of the tax team, including reconciliation workstreams, planning projects, preparing audit-ready documentation, and performing tax research
• Prepare and review a range of filings including; property tax, business tax, gross receipts, and similar compliance forms
• Assist with audit defense and support, specifically related to US indirect state and local tax audits
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Maintain key relationships across multiple functions, including, Accounting, FP&A, Legal,Strategy, Peloton for Business, and other core business partners

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

• 3+ years working on an in-house corporate tax team or at a reputable tax advisory firm
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field
• CPA (earned or in progress)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, etc
• Ability to prepare indirect tax compliance forms
• Familiar and current on indirect tax laws, tax court decisions, and state / local developments

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
