Role Overview
The sales associate will:
- Help promote Insights investment and solution capabilities in Germany and Austria
- Support senior members of the Business Development team in Frankfurt to increase Insight's Assets under Management in Germany/Austria
- Investment focus is on Fixed Income strategies and solutions (LDI, CDI) for German and Austrian institutional investors
Role Responsibilities:
- Help identify new business opportunities and upcoming product searches. Contribute to the overall sales strategy in Germany/Austria.
- Partner with senior sales team to support the business development process
- Perform in-depth analysis of the competitor and product landscape
- Support Business Development (BD) team members in developing and maintaining strong knowledge-based relationships with key contacts in the German institutional market space. This includes:
- Maintaining, preparing and extending pitch material (presentations, factsheets, marketing material, RfPs etc.)
- Managing the post-sales process if and when requested (follow-up preparations, pipeline, meeting notes etc.)
- Maintaining the relationship with relevant internal stakeholders (Sales Force team, product specialists, consultant and client teams)
- Support the distribution team members in continuously evolving the investment narratives
- Work on Business Development projects
Requirements
- Fluent German speaker with 1 - 3 years relevant work experience in Financial Services (e.g. Investment/Actuarial/Pension consulting, Asset Management, Banking, Insurance, Auditing).
- English language skills (oral and written) are essential
- Strong analytical and communication skills with energy, real drive and enthusiasm for what they do.
- Relevant Economics/Finance degree, preferably with a quantitative angle
- Good knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships (internally and externally)
- Highly motivated to support identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Drive to gain an in-depth understanding of the German institutional marketplace, including regulatory and accounting requirements as well as the operational set-up
- Ability/potential to develop from a support into a sales role
- Strong organisational and project management skills
