Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a motivated Global Field Operations (GFO) Manager, reporting to the Senior GFO Manager - West North America, to work in the El Segundo or Long Beach, California office. The Global Field Operations Manager will join to support our Global Field Operations team in North America West.

Travel up to 50% of the time may be required to meet program objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages Procurement Field Representative employees performing activities related to supplier assessment, supplier capability and ensuring suppliers deliver on time and in compliance with contract requirements

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

  • 5+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

  • 5+ years’ of experience in strategic thinking and leadership skills

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Capable of traveling up to 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in managing diverse team(s)

  • Experience in Procurement and/or Contract Administration roles

  • Experience in Supplier Quality

  • Experience working in Manufacturing Operations and/or Aerospace environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
