Business Reporting Analyst responsible for the development and modification of Research Administration Systems reports. This individual requires the ability to work independently in completing reporting tasks and lead initiatives to improve the reporting capabilities of the system. A solid understanding of the research administration applications workflows and system set up are required as well as a core competency in the use of Tableau and the database structure. The Business Reporting Analyst is involved in needs identification and analysis, implementing the reporting process workflows, and ensuring that end-users obtain the reports they need. Develops and modifies reports on an ongoing basis.
- Serve as a liaison between the stakeholders and IT team to gather and communicate reporting/needs and requirements.
- Ensures quality and accurate development of reports based on knowledge of the system and user requirements.
- Develop queries across a wide variety of data sources in Oracle SQL
- Create intermediary views and stored procedures in Oracle SQL
- Demonstrates expert knowledge of the systems and troubleshoots problems or questions from users.
- Prioritizes and implements changes requested for developed reports.
- Demonstrate ability to understand not only tasks assigned but to anticipate ongoing work and take ownership of entire process.
- Ability to identify and manage scope changes during a project.
- Performs other related duties.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum Related Experience
- 3 years experience in Information Technology/Computer Science and/or Reporting discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Experience with SSRS, Tableau or other Reporting frameworks.
- Experience with Research Applications is preferred.
- Experience in working on medium to large sized systems projects in a technology-driven environment.
Minimum Computer Skills
- Advanced skill level in the use of Oracle/MSSQL Reporting tool for report development.
- Advanced skill level in requirements gathering and documentation.
- Intermediate skill level with MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint and MS Project.
- Knowledge of client/server architecture.
- Knowledge of relational databases.
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $82,000.00 - $123,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
