What You'll Do
We are seeking an experienced and creative Retail Learning & Engagement Lead to join our dynamic Retail team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering innovative learning solutions that drive employee growth, performance, and engagement, with a strong focus on supporting our retail teams. The ideal candidate has advanced knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, talent development strategies, sales enablement, and communication best practices, as well as the ability to create compelling and effective content and programming aligned to both organizational and retail-specific objectives.
Responsibilities:
Serve as an advisor and thought partner on complex learning challenges, coaching retail managers and senior leaders on development best practices and effective communication strategies.
Collaborate cross-functionally with retail operations, product, customer care, retail field leaders, marketing, and other departments, using influence and strong interpersonal skills to align learning programs with broader company and retail objectives.
Design, develop, and implement scalable learning programs, frameworks, and content to support functional skills, customer experience, sales performance, operational excellence, and sales leadership needs, including product knowledge, sales techniques, objection handling, and customer relationship management across retail environments.
Conduct complex needs assessments and partner with retail leaders, store managers, and HRBPs to analyze learning gaps specific to frontline, store operations, sales enablement, and customer engagement.
Evaluate and refine learning solutions through data-driven analysis, feedback, and learning metrics with a particular focus on sales performance, conversion rates, customer satisfaction, and other retail KPIs.
Support career development and leadership capabilities through targeted development programs and growth initiatives.
Apply in-depth knowledge of learning methodologies, instructional design, sales enablement tools, and emerging digital learning technologies to create and implement blended learning experiences (instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, microlearning, self-paced) while developing new policies, ideas, and programs that enhance learning effectiveness and align with broader company and retail objectives.
Drive content creation efforts, producing high-quality learning assets such as videos, job aids, facilitator guides, sales playbooks, onboarding material and interactive modules tailored to the retail audience.
Partner with internal communications teams to ensure consistency and clarity in messaging across all training and communication materials. Design and execute Field Communications strategies and create effective communication templates for retail audiences.
Develop and manage Field Engagement programs such as focus groups with high-potential field leaders and corporate leaders, mentorship programs, and store manager summits.
Develop customer outreach playbooks and templates for field employees to utilize in email communications and online chat interactions.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously evolve learning strategies for the retail workforce.
Who You Are
Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related fields preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, talent management, or organizational development, with at least 3 years focused on retail learning, sales enablement, and development.
Demonstrated expertise in the full learning lifecycle: needs analysis, design, development, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation.
Experience designing and executing Field Communications strategies and creating effective communication templates for retail audiences.
Experience developing and managing Field Engagement programs such as focus groups with high-potential field leaders and corporate leaders, mentorship programs, and store manager summits.
Advanced proficiency with instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Agile Learning).
