BA Wind is responsible for the development, construction and operation of wind power onshore and offshore as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like solar and batteries. We manage the maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of wind generation assets, safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with our overall wind strategy.

Business Unit Offshore is responsible to manage and operate all Offshore wind parks as well as Offshore wind projects with regards to development, construction and execution within the Region Continental/UK.

Our strategy is to be Fossil Free within one generation.

Job Description

Vattenfall is using SAP globally and using the modules PM and MM in the operations and maintenance area. Vattenfall have started the S/4HANA journey and aim to gain strategic advantages that will bring the operations and maintenance departments from good to excellence.

The team and role

As the new Strategic Planner, you will join the young department Wind Maintenance Systems (WMS) in Business Area Wind – Generation – Integrated Operation – a team of dedicated colleague. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Wind Maintenance Systems. The department is product owner of several maintenance systems and placed in between IT and business - the operational sites with end users.

The Strategic Planner role has the overall planning responsibility within the department and several cross functional agile teams. The planning is in relation to project execution and allocation of team resource for all different kind of stakeholder initiatives, mainly SAP.
The role will, in close collaboration with stakeholders and management, assign team resources for deliverables within development activities of the the different maintenance systems. 

The role has the awareness of the long term planning related to system developments, implementation projects and smaller optimization initiatives.

The role will be part of setting up an agile way of working, keep track of all training materials and helping out planning all related to training. The training will be executed by WMS Support.

Your key responsibilities and mandate:

  • Be responsibility for the long term planning for resources within WMS.
  • Have the overall planning responsibility for the end user trainings required by operational business within BA Wind.
  • In close alignment with WMS management make sure that team resources are allocated in the best way in regards of work life balance and re-allocate resources if plans and tasks are changing within initial resource requests.
  • Responsible for the agile way of working together wit IT resources
  • Part of the long term planning team.
  • Develop and maintain end user training materials

Your key deliverables and activities:

  • Introduce and implement an agile way of working and take role as scrum master
  • Plan and update the long term planning for resources within WMS.
  • Plan and update short term planning for resources within WMS.
  • Have close alignment with WMS management and systems experts to optimize resource allocation on weekly basis.
  • Plan and update end user training matrix and communicate this to Wind Maintenance Systems Support and operational sites.
  • Creating/updating training plans and end user training materials in close cooperation with Systems Experts and Systems Support

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master's degree in a relevant field, preferable within Engineering or Scientific discipline
  • At least 3 years’ of experience in a similar position
  • Experience as agile coach, scrum master, product owner or similar is preferable
  • Proven skillset within project coordination and complex long term planning
  • High proficiency in English – spoken and written
  • Good competences in Microsoft Project or Oracle Primavera
  • Strong problem solving skillset and innovative mindset
  • Good capabilities in building relationships with stakeholders, end users and management
  • Positive mindset and proactive
