Job Description

We are seeking Full Stack Software Engineers who are passionate about building products with automation on AWS and On-prem, processing and analyzing data with emerging technologies. This opportunity will support the data platform and analytics team in automating data ETL processes and build foundational SPA and BFF architecture on AWS. As a CoBank full stack Software Engineer, you will be leading an opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation. What You'll Do: • Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community.
Essential Functions
1. Engineer automated solutions, automated testing, monitoring and observability. 2. Collaborate with product managers, cross functional teams, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions. 3. Utilize programming languages like Python, SQL, Terraform, Open-Source databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services. 4. Develops solutions for improving quality, delivery, efficiency, and customer and employee experience for business partners using automation technologies. 5. Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines and tools. 6. Experience with version control systems like Git as well as the ability to manage code repositories, branching strategies, and code review processes effectively. 7. Resolves production issues and engages IT and vendors as necessary. 8. May prioritize and oversee activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards. 9. Works closely with Program owner and business units regarding enhancements and changes. 10. Contributes to automation portfolio and weekly discussions for updates, requests for support, and implementing best practices. 11. Ability to learn and implement new automation technologies by analyzing technical specifications, build and configure supporting infrastructure, and implementing security best practices. 12. Provides workday and after-hours production support, including troubleshooting, problem correction, testing, and promotion to the production environment. 13. Root cause analysis of application issues and facilitates resolution by coordinating with the vendor, internal IT and users as appropriate.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems or a relevant discipline preferred
Work Experience
5 years of experience in software engineering (front-end, back-end development, data engineering) required 2 years of experience with React, Typescript and Node, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud required 2 years experience in Agile practices required 3 years of experience in python programming and open-source frameworks required 3 years of experience in data engineering, data modeling preferred 3 years of experience in process automation preferred 1. Demonstrated technical, analytical and problem-solving skills that enhance working with problems that are complex and often unique. Ability to maintain flexibility and resilience when working in ambiguous situation
