In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a DevOps Cloud Engineer, you will help design, implement, and maintain modern cloud environments that are scalable, reliable, secure, and automated. You will work closely with development, operations, security, and client teams to improve deployment processes, enhance cloud infrastructure, and support the implementation of DevOps and DevSecOps practices across projects.

 

This role is ideal for candidates with junior to medior experience who want to build their expertise in cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, container platforms, and operational excellence in enterprise environments.

 Key Responsibilities

 

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure using Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform
• Support the implementation and improvement of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and related automation tooling
• Help manage and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes platforms such as EKS or AKS
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application deployment, performance, reliability, and operational readiness in cloud environments
• Monitor infrastructure and applications, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to high availability and service reliability
• Apply security best practices across cloud environments and delivery pipelines, including IAM, TLS/mTLS, secrets management, certificates, and secure configuration
• Support infrastructure automation through scripting and reusable templates
• Contribute to observability and operational monitoring using modern logging, metrics, and alerting solutions
• Participate in cloud modernization and migration activities, including infrastructure and application transition initiatives
• Support database-related migration activities where relevant, including collaboration on migrations from legacy database platforms to cloud-managed services such as PostgreSQL
• Continuously learn, evaluate, and recommend new tools and practices that improve efficiency, security, and scalability

In line with applicable pay transparency requirements, we are sharing the starting annual base pay (gross per year).

This amount is the starting pay for the position, based on a full-time schedule over a full calendar year. The final offer may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience, as permitted under applicable local law.
