Industrial Electrician Summer Student

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Industrial Electricion Summer Student will learn and assist in the operation and maintenance of the electrical systems in the cement plant.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
You will be assisting the Power and Control Technitions with the following:
•    Schematic reading & instrumentation calibration

•    Troubleshooting and repair a diverse range of electrical equipment throughout the cement plant (Example: Instrumentation circuits, motor control circuits up to 13.8 kilovolts, low and medium voltage drives, monitoring analyzers)

•    Digital and Analog PLC program use in troubleshooting
•    Low and medium voltage cable routing, splicing and terminating
•    Basic mechanical activities (For example: Non-critical welding, laser alignment)
•    Perform walk-by inspections & diagnostic checks
•    Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities
•    Other duties as assigned.
 
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Education:  High School Diploma/GED
Additional Education: Enrollment in a 2 year electrical related program 
Required Computer and Software Skills: Effective computer and systems skills
Travel Requirements:  None
