Job Description

Seamgen is seeking a strong SQL Server DBA / Data Developer to support operations of a HIPAA compliant health portal. The ideal candidate will have been working with SQL Server for 5-7 years and have a solid understanding of database design, naming conventions, and ETL. 

Responsibilities

• Propose database structure changes in support of operational issues
• Implement changes using tables, indexes, stored procedures, views, etc.
• Collaborate with lead developer and other team members on code reviews and process enhancement
• Evaluate and improve data ETL (extract/transform/load) processes and make suggestions for improved performance/scalability of large data loads.
• Create new or enhance existing ETL processes to support BI and data warehousing initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in database architecture, design, and implementation.
• 6+ years of SQL Server administration experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL)
• ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Kafka Connect, or Mulesoft
• Proven experience with building out a data warehouse.
• Ability to create scalable databases.

Additional Skills & Competencies 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Microsoft certified (MCSD)
• Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.changing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude
