About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our Firmwide Planning and Analysis and Corporate Sector Finance & Business Management team. Firmwide Planning & Analysis is a key finance function that is responsible for reporting, forecasting, analyzing, planning and stress-testing in support of quarterly earnings releases, management reporting and the firm's stress-testing requirements.

As a Finance & Business Management Associate in Corporate Finance, you will play a critical role in supporting control related activities and initiatives such as business resiliency and record retention. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities including preparing and delivering executive-level presentations, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Corporate Sector Finance & Business Management is comprised of teams that support the CFO of select Corporate Sector functions such as Legal, Audit, Corporate Responsibility, and Global Human Resources. The teams support their respective Corporate Sector functions through various reporting and controls-related initiatives, as well as traditional finance activities such as budgeting, forecasts and expense tracking. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of business resiliency plans.
  • Support the execution of business continuity exercises and simulations.
  • Monitor and report on the status of resiliency initiatives and compliance with firmwide requirements.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure proper classification, storage, and disposal of electronic and physical records.
  • Analyze data related to business resiliency and record retention to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on the status of initiatives and compliance metrics.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met on time.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Act as a point of contact for inquiries related to business resiliency and record retention.
  • Oversee position management, including open positions and open requisitions, forecasting estimated time of hire, and the corresponding financial impact to the P&L.  

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in business management, risk management, or a related area.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with data analysis experience 
  • Expertise with written and verbal storytelling, crafting clear, engaging content that effectively simplifies complex concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a dynamic environment, with proven skills in adapting to shifting priorities to execute on evolving business needs effectively.
  • Experience with forecasting resource arrivals and departures; understanding and articulating all aspects of the P&L to senior management.
