Job Description

As Commercial Counsel on the Vialto Partners legal team, you will join a talented team of dedicated legal professionals.  As a member of the team, you will play a critical role in helping shape the Vialto Partners global commercial contracting efforts, as well as support the legal team in other areas as the business experiences rapid growth and expansion.  This position will report to the Deputy Chief Legal Officer. 

Primary Responsibilities

As part of the global commercial teams, you will help us build a world-class corporate and commercial function, focused on partnering with our teams across the globe to support business expansion.  In this role you will focus on:

• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of global client and vendor contracts related to the professional services industry
• Conducting research on applicable laws relevant to global commercial issues
• Ensuring consistency of contract terms with company policies and goals
• Assisting in the creation and improvement of best practices to enhance the contracts review process
• Supporting risk management and compliance efforts
• Interacting with internal and external stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations of the company are taken care of and contractual rights of the company are protected

• Executing duties with significant attention to detail and maintaining high quality standards
• Manage multiple priorities in the allocated time and meeting deadlines 
• Establish and maintaining positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally to achieve the goals of the organization

Qualifications

• Master's degree in law 
• 3+ years of direct experience in complex commercial contract negotiations, either at a law firm or in-house
• Excel in working in diverse, multi-cultural environments
• Excellent negotiation, drafting and analytical skills, and commercial transactions experience
• Ability to provide accurate, concise, and commercially focused advice
• Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptionally strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including in remote work settings
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure and under strict deadlines
• Ability to effectively prioritize, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to share and collaborate effectively with other members of the legal team
• Flexibility to work outside normal working hours may be required based on volume of work
• A team-player mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple time zones and remotely
