<p>Job Title</p>Senior QA Engineer<p>Summary of the role</p><p></p><p>Reservation (RES) is the beating heart of many Amadeus products: it handles critical steps of a trip reservation, including booking, ticketing, PNR management, etc.<br/>Our team drives these reservation functions for different travel content types, such as air, land and sea. We are accountable for our unique reservation platform, used both by Airlines and Distribution agents.</p><p><br/>With the travel industry rapidly changing, the RES organization is involved in key on-going and new projects at the crossroads of all the business units. We’re also working on technical challenges, on our platform’s modernization (e.g. peaking our applications, migrating to the cloud).<br/> </p><p>The VAS team (Validation &amp; Storage) is responsible for the PNR databases, and the core services associated to them along with some critical applications with very stringent operational constraints in terms of transaction throughput and system availability. Here at Amadeus, everyone has an impact on the software we build and run, and on the millions of travelers relying on it every day.</p><p></p><p>As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of products. You’ll design and execute test plans, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues. You’ll also help create and maintain testing frameworks, automate tests, and ensure that products meet specified standards and user requirements. Your goal is to improve the overall user experience by identifying and handling any issues before software is released to users.</p><p></p><p>In this role you’ll</p><ul><li><p>Actively participate in specification/architecture reviews (also on customer specification reviews when applicable), and provide feedback along with any potential impact, risk, issue or missed gap based on experience. </p></li><li><p>Define test strategy and test plan containing test cases (functional and non-functional), ensure traceability with specifications and customer requirements. </p></li><li><p>Write test plan (functional and/or non-functional and/or non-regression and/or performance).  </p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance of test strategy with CI/CD guidelines, Green IT guidelines and all quality guidelines (SDL, STDL), QA best practices/standards from the industry (ISTQB.) </p></li><li><p>Ensure improvement of non-regression test repository.  </p></li><li><p>Design and perform tests.  </p></li><li><p>Design test cases and develop automated test case scripts.  </p></li><li><p>Prepare test environment, test data, and execute test cases. </p></li><li><p>Be responsible for the project, product, or release quality control.  </p></li><li><p>Use automation framework for E2E tests including API and UI  </p></li><li><p>Provide information to developers to fix defects.  </p></li><li><p>Check bug fixes and give go/no-go for the load of Production PTRs  </p></li><li><p>Participate in specification reviews to give input on testing requirements.  </p></li><li><p>Report and communicate on test activities to the line organization, software developers and product definitions analysts.  </p></li></ul><h2><br/><br/>About the ideal candidate</h2><ul><li><p>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent</p></li><li><p>At least 5 years of Software Quality Assurance experience in the Technology industry covering:<br/>             o    Test Planning, Streamlining, Analysis and Estimation.<br/>             o    Writing both manual and automated tests.<br/>             o    Developing effective Testing Strategies.<br/>             o    Creating, Maintaining, and Improving automated tests.<br/>             o    Researching for tools and technologies aiding test automation.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>With relevant experience in the Software Development Industry.</p></li><li><p>Airline industry knowledge is a plus. </p></li></ul><p>Plus:</p><ul><li><p>Experience of working in an Agile Team.</p></li><li><p>Experience in work direction and guidance of junior QA team members.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, standards and processes.  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Fluent in English.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>What we can offer you</p><p>🎯 A critical mission and purpose - At Amadeus, you will be powering the future of travel and pursuing a critical mission and extraordinary purpose.</p><p>🌎 A truly global DNA - Everything at Amadeus is global, from our people to our business, which translates into our footprint, processes, and culture.</p><p>🎓 Great opportunities to learn - Learning happens all the time and in many ways at Amadeus, through on-the-job training, formal learning activities, and day-to-day interactions with colleagues.</p><p>🤗 A caring environment - Amadeus fosters a caring environment, nurturing both a fulfilling career and personal and
