The Los Angeles International Airport Assistant General Manager will lead and support the day-to-day operations for our Airport program at Terminals 1, 2, 3, 6, Tom Bradley and Bradley West Gates in LAX, reporting directly to the General Manager, LAX. This position is accountable for the overall management, direction, and coordination of the URW program. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with URW’s client, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), to ensure their business needs are met, and is also responsible to ensure URW’s corporate objectives are achieved at the lowest cost consistent with corporate and airport requirements. The Assistant General Manager also interacts with a wide range of airlines or clients and their representatives to ensure their needs and objectives are satisfied.

What we are looking for
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a specific Airport program including concessions, tenant relations, maintenance of the specialty leasing program, tenant operational issues, management contracts, budgeting, collections, and expense control. Supervises all sub-contractors and their activities.
Primary Responsibilities
• Supervise and oversee all operational sub-contractors including walkthroughs, meetings and work orders.
• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts.
• Control expenses including negotiating fees, authorizing expenditures and reviewing monthly income statements.
• Maintain a responsive open line of communication with the tenants including dealing with tenant complaints and questions; operating hours enforcement; ensuring permitted uses in leases; and preparation of amendments.
• Responsible for contract services, including assisting in negotiations, renewals, supervision and termination.
• Assist with the collection of receivables as required by the General Manager.
• Inspect tenant spaces daily and follow up on any defects noted.
• Maintain a liaison with tenant contractors.
• Maintain a liaison with Airport building, safety and food inspectors.
• Handle and solve customer or client complaints.
• Attendance and preparation for internal staff meetings.
• Verification of accuracy of tenant billings including minimum rent, common area charges, marketing charges and RMU fees.
• Preparation of status reports and monthly updates.
• Direct the in-store inspection program with specific assigned tenants.
• Monitor and document all temporary tenant deals.
