The Opportunity

 

You will be part of the Finance Department of Worldline in Greece being responsible of Accounting Operations and you will report hierarchically to the Local CFO and functionally to the Regional Accounting Director SE/MEA/APAC

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

 

• Lead manage and develop the local Accounting Operations team ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting .
• Cooperate with the nearshore Global Functions Support team and provide support when needed.
• Responsible for the preparation of the Financial Statements for the two legal entities of the Group.
• To liaise with both internal and external auditors as main point of contact for audit plan and follow up of to do list.
• Ensure the quality of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of regulatory/statistical reporting.
• Support the preparation of annual Budget and monthly Forecast.
• Analyze and document Balance-Sheet positions.
• Support analysis on cash and working capital.
• Cooperate with the local controlling team for the finalization of the monthly closing reporting for Worldline Group.
• Provide timely support to the Consolidation team for whatever request of clarification regarding local accounting positions.
• Carry out the assigned Worldline Group Internal Control activities.
• Provide and review information required for Corporate Tax, VAT and other Tax submissions
• Support the Regional Accounting Director in the local implementation of group strategies.

• You hold an A’ class accountant license and has an excellent knowledge of legal entities taxation (income tax, benefits in kind, withholding taxes, VAT, stamp duties, real estate) and accounting standards
• Very good knowledge of  IFRS .
• Knowledge of  SAP (or other accounting system) will be considered as an asset, Excel (demonstrable prior experience)
• Pro-active and able to demonstrate initiative and manage priorities.
• Adapts to changing circumstances and takes a positive approach to dealing with change
• Takes ownership and follows through on decisions and actions
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with 5-7 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in a multinational company will be considered as an asset.
• Previous experiences in regulated entities would be considered as an asset.
• You have strong analytical and communication skills
• You possess sophisticated skills in, accounting and finance
• You have proficient English level. Greek mother tongue is required.
• You possess an ethical behavior
