At Nexans, our people are at the heart of our industrial and commercial success.
To support our continued development in Spain, we are recruiting an HR Country Manager to work in close partnership with the Country Manager and local leadership teams. This role plays a central part in shaping a strong, compliant, and engaging people strategy adapted to the Spanish social and labor environment. This role is based on-site in Zaragoza, Spain. 

 

Getting a Flying Start

As HR Country Manager, you will be the reference point for all HR matters in Spain, ensuring alignment with Nexans Group strategy while fully integrating local labor law, social dialogue, and industrial realities.
You will advise leaders on people decisions, lead the national HR community, and ensure that transformation initiatives are implemented smoothly, responsibly, and in line with local employment regulations.

 

How You Make an Impact

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to the Country Manager and leadership team

  • Lead labor relations and social dialogue, including negotiations and agreements with employee representatives

  • Drive organization design, workforce planning, and change management in line with business needs

  • Oversee talent acquisition, performance management, and compensation frameworks compliant with Spanish legislation

  • Develop leadership, succession, and learning initiatives adapted to local skills and industrial needs

  • Promote a safe, ethical, and engaging work environment, including health & safety culture and employee engagement surveys

 

Your Starting Points

  • University degree in Human Resources, Law, Business, or a related field

  • Fluent Spanish and English (spoken and written)

  • Strong experience in labor relations, collective bargaining, and Spanish employment law

  • Proven background in HR leadership within an industrial or multinational environment

  • Solid business understanding with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

  • Collaborative leadership style with strong communication and negotiation skills
