Role:

As a Support Associate, you will work with a group of talented individuals in a highly collaborative environment supporting finance technology solutions for Blackstone.

The Application Support team’s mandate is to provide excellent support to our end users, identify longstanding problems within our systems and working with Product teams to reduce overall support.

You will be expected to provide support for financial processes such as Quarter/Monthly Close, Cash Reconciliation, Static data maintenance and set up, Capital Account Statements and Investor Reporting. In addition to that you will be expected to provide guidance to other members of the team, helping them prioritize concurrent critical tasks and removing any impediments they face.

Key responsibilities:

• Become familiar with the underlying finance business processes like Quarter/Monthly Close, Cash Reconciliation, Capital Account Statements, Valuations, Distribution and Capital call notices and Investor Reporting to effectively diagnose and resolve user issues.

• Understanding user’s support needs and providing the best possible solution available, while maintaining open communication with them.

• Identify and track any risks, recurring problems, areas for improvement and propose solutions or changes in processes.

• Collaborate and partner with the product team to find acceptable solutions to problems including crafting communications to end users during an outage.

• Working closely with end users to relay information around bugs and enhancements to product team.

• Providing prompt and high-quality support within the predetermined SLA.

• Creating Knowledge base documentation for the Internal team.

• Creating Self-Serve articles for the end user to reduce support.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Fund Accounting

• Experience working with accounting systems preferably Lemon Edge, Investran or Geneva

• Experience with distribution waterfall models

• Strong problem solver, with the desire to dig into the root cause and fix the issue.

• Innovative in finding solutions to make impactful changes to solve for longstanding problems.

• Inquisitive and should be able to demonstrate passion to learn and grow.

• Works collaboratively with all the stake holders to find the best solution.

• Ability to motivate and guide others.

• Major in Finance/Accounting or other applicable degree
