What You’ll Do


As a Field Machinist II, you’ll deliver high-level precision machining directly at customer sites. Responsibilities include:

  • Applying manual machining skills in dynamic field environments
  • Maintaining tight tolerances (±0.010) under challenging conditions
  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining specialized portable machining equipment
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints; collaborating with engineers
  • Ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards

  

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of manual and/or field machining experience
  • Proficiency with Bridgeport knee mills and manual engine lathes
  • Strong blueprint and mechanical drawing interpretation skills
  • Expert use of micrometers and precision inspection tools
  • Basic rigging knowledge and power tool operation
  • Solid understanding of cutting tools, materials, speeds, and feeds
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and adaptability
  • High school diploma or GED/HSED (Journeyman or technical degree preferred)

  

Certifications & Requirements

  • OSHA 10 certification trained
  • Valid driver’s license
  • IPM Overhead Crane Training certification
  • Forklift training and valid license
  • Ability to travel frequently, including some weekends
  • Comfortable using mobile apps for timekeeping and expenses
