Overview
The Director, Human Resources Business Partner, plays a crucial role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, fostering a positive work environment, and leading the HR team in supporting the organization’s overall mission and goals. Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and manage the HR Generalist/Business Partner team, ensuring they are skilled, motivated, and effectively contributing to the organization’s goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the HR team.
- Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals, particularly in manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with other leaders to understand business needs and develop HR strategies that align with company objectives.
- Lead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions during organizational changes.
- Communicate effectively about changes, addressing concerns and fostering positive attitudes towards change.
- Guide and support managers and employees through the change process.
- Facilitate strategic workforce planning to ensure the organization has the right talent in place to meet current and future needs.
- Identify key roles and potential succession gaps within the organization.
- Develop and implement succession plans and talent management strategies to prepare for future leadership needs.
- Mentor and develop high-potential employees for leadership roles.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.
- Ensure the voice of the employees is heard and considered in decision-making processes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees at all levels, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters.
- Address employee relations issues swiftly and effectively, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies.
- Promote a culture of open communication and mutual respect.
- Champion initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.
- Ensure HR practices are unbiased and equitable across all levels of the organization.
- Act as a role model in embodying the organization’s values.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment within the life sciences industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and the unique challenges of the life sciences sector.
- Proven track record in strategic HR planning, talent management, and employee relations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and tact.
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
