This position is for a Senior Electrical Design Engineering Team Manager that will drive a team of electrical design and hardware systems engineers. This individual will lead technical resources in the design, development, and support of Electronic Control products for the Power & Controls Digital Controls Product Line. The manager will oversee a team of engineers working on projects ranging from new product development, production support, and field investigations. This role requires a strong leader with familiarity of analog / digital circuit design and analysis, complex logic devices, and hardware / software integration.
What You Will Do
- Develops resourcing plans and assign technical resources to meet project milestones
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and distributing responsibilities for a team of engineers Responsible for the development and technical coaching of staff as well as onboarding and assimilation of new hires
- Leverages advanced principles, theories, and concepts of circuit / electronic operation to provide direction and guidance to employees
- Responsible for successful execution of design, substantiation, certification and qualification activities for Electronic Control products
- Follows established standard work activities while identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
- Demonstrated experience in managing and team building a team of technical professionals
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or systems engineering
- Prior experience in electronic control system design for aerospace products such as Flight Control Computers (FCCs) or Electronic Engine Controls (EECs).
- Demonstrated broad-based technical competencies in electronic control design aspects such as digital controls systems and their external aircraft interfaces.
- Advanced Degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering
