A Day in the Life
In this highly visible and impactful role, the Senior Engineering Manager will report to OU Operations and lead a team of Core Team Operations Representatives (CTORs) and Project Engineers. This role is responsible for value stream selection, planning, execution, and implementation of new products supporting the Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health Operating Units.
You will drive the development of robust, stable, end-to-end value streams by working closely with cross-functional partners and manufacturing sites, while building and developing a high-performing team of program and project leaders. This position ensures overall Operations execution across New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, including schedule, budget, resource planning, risk management, issue resolution, and compliance with internal quality systems.
Results are achieved through leadership of up to 10 extended Operations functions, including Supply Management, Supplier Quality, Process Development, Contract Manufacturing, Internal Manufacturing, Packaging & Labeling, Sterilization, Global Supply Chain, and Distribution.
The ideal candidate brings strong people leadership experience, new product introduction expertise, and demonstrated success leading complex, matrixed programs involving R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams. This role requires a balance of technical depth, program management capability, business acumen, and medical device operations knowledge, along with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Lead a team of CTORs and Project Engineers who represent Operations throughout the New Product Development process
Own DRM strategy and execution to enable Design for Manufacturability and Design for Value
Ensure downstream operations considerations are incorporated early in product development
Facilitate trade-off discussions and influence decision-making across multiple levels of leadership
Align scope, cost, resources, and schedules across Network Operations, Operating Units, and NPD core teams
Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution while adhering to Operations strategies and compliance requirements
Coach, mentor, and develop talent through feedback, performance management, and career development
Drive operational excellence to deliver high-quality products at competitive cost and speed
Serve as Design Transfer procedure owner and ensure post-launch operational stability

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field with minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or
Advance degree in Engineering or related technical field with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience
Program or project management experience
Demonstrated people leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with manufacturing sites on NPI design transfer
Experience with active implantable devices, pumps, and therapies
End-to-end NPI experience from concept through launch
DRM, DFSS, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
