Where the Chemistry Happens...

 

As a Lab technician, you will build a meaningful career while supporting BASF Coatings business in Southfield, MI, which develops, produces, and markets a high-quality range of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, decorative paints and surface-applied treatments for metal, plastic, and glass substrates for a wide range of industries.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will....

• Manage and process all daily sample testing operations.

• Manage equipment metrology and ensure high level of quality standards followed.

• Perform lab work in support of launch and develop lab activities.

• Perform coating work in the laboratory as needed. 

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lab space.

If you...

• Have a High School diploma (required). Bachelor’s degree, or associate degree in a technical major is a plus.
• Have 2 years of coatings experience (preferred).
• Can lift up to 50 lbs, carrying up to 25 lbs. 
• Possess intermediate computer skills (Use computerized process system, internet, email, MS Office, SAP, etc.). 
• Possess laboratory skills including knowledge of lab instrumentation and verification and calibration of equipment.
